Local stations predict a 10% chance of precipitation today. With the SE winds we are experiencing, however, I would not get worried about a storm rolling through any time soon. SE winds usually tell us that we can expect fair weather. In the sky, we have some scattered clouds but nothing ominous.
Tonight, we will see temperatures drop into the single digits. It will even drop below zero for some areas of the northern Chippewa Valley throughout the evening.
The 4" of snow we received from last night through this morning brings Eau Claire's snow depth to 15". With the city's current March snow total of 20.3", 2013 is just shy of making it onto the top 10 list for March snowfall records in Eau Claire. I am all for breaking records, but I am personally ready for spring. For the snow-lovers out there, get ready for an exciting Monday.
